Welcome to Fort Worth, Texas!
In 1849 Fort Worth was a frontier outpost. 150 years later it's a major, diversified, high-tech city that has experienced dramatic growth. Since the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the opening of foreign trade zones at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Alliance Airport, Fort Worth has been attracting different businesses from around the world.
However, Fort Worth is known for its friendly environment because it has kept its down-home western hospitality through the years and the changes.
Fort Worth has also long been known for its cultural background. In the early '80's, the billionaire Bass brothers bought the legendary Sundance Square with a dream of rejuvenating downtown Fort Worth. New retail, restaurant and entertainment flourished.
