III. Pick Your Lot with Your Builder's Help.

Often people fall in love with a lot, purchase it, then talk with a builder to find that the lot will require retaining walls, special concrete drainage, major earthwork, or that the soil is just plain unstable. The extra cost to you could be substantial.

IV. Develop the House Plan with Your Builder.

Les Miller Homes has many books of stock plans and they are a great help in formulating thoughts about what you want in a home. But, the best plans require modification to your wants and needs. A builder with a graduate engineer or architect on staff will be of great assistance.
