Why Select a Certified Master Builder?

Mission Statement
The Certified Master Builder Program encourages and promotes professionalism within the home building industry. It requires all Certified Master Builders to meet strict qualifications. The program benefits home buyers by providing a means to recognize home builders, remodelers, and associates who meet these rigorous qualifications.
The Certified Master Builder Program provides an economical and fair process of handling consumer complaints. The conciliation and arbitration procedure offered provides an alternative to costly and time-consuming litigation.
The Certified Master Builder Program also ensures that Certified Master Builders offer, as a minimum, a one-year limited warranty to new home buyers.
KNOWLEDGE
EXPERIENCE
ABILITYThese are three good reasons to choose a Certified Master Builder when you build your home. Members of the Certified Master Builder Program have been screened to determine their knowledge, experience, and ability. The Certified Master Builder Program is an independent corporation operated as a subsidiary of the Builders Association of Fort Worth and Tarrant County.
KNOWLEDGE
Certified Master Builders are interested in the same things you are, the best quality home at a fair price. Through the one-year warranty and the conciliation and arbitration agreement, you are assured that all questions and concerns will be dealt with in a thorough manner. Master Builders are committed to being financially responsible and paying their subcontractors fairly.
- All Certified Master Builders offer, as a minimum, a one-year limited warranty to new home buyers.
- All Certified Master Builders must maintain an acceptable Financial Certification. That means they have not filed for bankruptcy in the past five years or have any unsatisfied final judgements or liens against them. Nor can they have been a principal in a company that has had these problems.
- All Certified Master Builders offer the protection of a conciliation and arbitration agreement. Should you have a complaint with your builder that cannot be resolved, the Conciliation and Arbitration Committee will help to determine the builder's responsibility. A builder who fails to abide by the committee's finding faces termination of their membership in the Certified Master Builder Program.
EXPERIENCE
Certified Master Builders are professional full-time builders, who are interested in being the best at their craft. Through continuing education, they are also informed about the latest techniques in home building.
- All Certified Master Builders have at least three years of experience in the building of residential homes.

ABILITY
A Certified Master Builder is a well-respected contributor to the home building industry and is recommended by both satisfied customers as well as peers and suppliers in the industry.
- All Certified Master Builders have appeared before the membership committee for a personal interview.
